一九八五年葛萊美獎最佳年度歌曲《That’s What Friends Are For》，
闡揚友誼的真諦，感人至深，這首歌早在一九八二年便由
「搖滾公雞」洛史都華（Rod Stuart）演唱過，卻未引起太大回響，
反倒是惠妮休斯頓（Whitney Houston）的表姊
狄昂薇若克（Dionne
Warwick）將它唱成流行榜四周冠軍。
八五年時，「玉婆」伊麗莎白泰勒（Elizabeth
Taylor）的好友洛赫遜（Rock
Hudson）宣布得了愛滋病，不久便撒手人寰，世人因此驚覺愛滋的可怕。玉婆紀念好友，發起為愛滋籌募基金活動，狄昂邀集了好友「強叔」艾爾頓強（Elton
John）、史提夫汪德（Stevie
Wonder）、葛萊迪奈特（Gladys
Knight），重唱《That’s What
Friends Are For》，獲得熱烈反應，這首好歌才總算獲得它應有的地位。
該首歌不僅募集到一百萬美元基金，還高居告示牌單曲榜四周冠軍，是演唱的四人出道以來的最好成績，並拿下葛萊美獎最佳年度歌曲及最佳流行合唱團獎，曾被提名十四次卻始終無緣的強叔，總算一圓美夢；譜曲的Burt
Bacharach過去曾入圍五次，首度得獎。

Bacharach與老婆Carole Bayer
Sager合作的歌曲，
原出自於一九八二年電影《銷魂大夜班》（Night Shift），
由奧斯卡最佳導演朗霍華（Ron
Howard）執導，描述一對好友發夢想賺錢，
竟然借用墓園當妓院，與妓女合作拉客招攬生意，一連串的爆笑災難因此展開。
當初在美台兩地上檔，評價與票房都不好，
可惜兩位當時得令的紅星莎莉朗（Shelley Long）與米高基頓（Michael Keaton）。
原版的洛史都華用他沙啞的嗓音，雖然唱得滄桑感人，但配在這部黑色喜劇裡，
總有點不倫不類，幸好狄昂眼光獨具，好歌才得以翻身。
狄昂曾是五度葛萊美獎得主，並是首位榮獲葛萊美「最佳流行女歌手」音樂獎項的黑人歌后，
她演唱的風格融合靈魂、節奏藍調與爵士，風靡歌迷四十幾年。
她長期與知名作曲家兼製作人Burt
Bacharach與作詞家Hal
David合作，
